Hi there.
Hope you are okay.
Last post of the month and then it’s ….. December … blimey I’m in shock to think the end of the year is just a blink away and we’ll welcome 2025 before we know it!
I’m actually feeling quite chilled about the whole Christmas thing if I’m honest. I usually get my knickers in a right old twist the month or so before Xmas day, but what will be will be. I’m not getting stressed this year as I realise life itself is much more important and people really and truly remember doing things and not getting things. I asked my kids recently if they could name any specific presents they got for Christmas when they were younger and quite honestly bar a couple of gifts they couldn’t name any! What they did remember though, were occasions spent together - dinners out, playing games, entertaining family friends and doing something exciting. We habitually took the kids skiing just after the big day and we always had an amazing time. There were lots of funny stories, magical events and special family times that they recall and it’s really made me realise ‘time spent’ together is much more important than ‘money spent!
With Christmas Day literally round the corner, how about an idea of what to wear for the big day itself! Think this gorgeous lace number should be considered! I might wear it and have linked it for you incase it might be a contender for you. ❤️
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
Isn’t red just the most special colour to wear over the festive period. I wore a fab skirt a few years ago that was a red velvet and figured this stunning lace dress from, Izabel London, would be a great addition for the big day, especially when it’s comfortable to wear, looks super on and can be worn to relax in after Christmas dinner (I always eat way too much).
Having said all that I’m out with four friends and David in a couple of weeks and think this might be my choice of attire for our evening out. We’ve a table booked at a local restaurant and they’re offering Christmas dinner on the menu which I always have. We usually exchange our secret Santa gifts whilst enjoying the Christmas meal, which reminds me I must get my present sorted! Doing a secret Santa is a fun way to buy presents for family and friends and it’s good to have a price limit making thinking and buying gifts so much more easier. We try to buy funny gifts and always have it’s of laughs when we open them! I’ve had some brilliant picks, along with the some funny choices. ðŸ¤
So more about this red lace dress.* It’s obviously a midi length and has a nice frill around the hem - which looks great. It’s got similar sleeves which have a lovely fluted bottom detail. It’s quite fitted but the best part is that it’s stretchy so as it’s not tight it’s a good reason to wear it for a night out when comfort is key!
I popped on my easy to wear black heels which are sparkly on the front and the heel is a block patent. They’re really easy to wear and slipping them on isn’t a hardship at all! I reckon I could dance the night away in these. Do you remember seeing them last week with my full skirt?
Let me share a funny story with you. I took these photos at my mums and soon found out I had forgotten to pack my bag. So I asked my mum and found this cute jewellery box that’s red velvet and used that! There’s so many quirky ideas and styles out there now, it didn’t look out of place at all! Do tell me what you think my friends. I love to hear your thoughts. ❤️
