So pleased you could join me.
How have you been? A busy few weeks for me with the baby's arrival growing ever closer! The house is full with baby clothes and all the extras they need and I'm getting rather excited to say the least. I'm wondering how Max is going to take the new baby. He has his moments, but on the whole he's very good with me, David and the rest of the family, so I'm sure it wont be too hard for him when she goes off to hospital, well that's unless she takes after her sister, my eldest daughter, she popped our first grandchild out at home and didn't have time to get to the hospital! So yes as they say anything can happen!
Another month has rolled by and don't they seem to be getting faster? It'll be Christmas before we know it and we'll be enjoying all the delights that brings. I've vowed to get presents done early (I know I say that every year) but I want to enjoy getting them and not having it to be a chore.
So without further ado let's look back on my outfits for October for the ....
October Review.
My first post featured a bit about Porto & Life insurance, you can read all about my exciting trip here and marvel at the photos of the special place David and I celebrated our 60th birthdays - albeit a tad late!
Moving on from that trip I was away on my next birthday holiday so had planned this post in advance. It featured the trending leopard print slip skirt and I can't tell you enough how much I love this little skirt. It's just so easy to wear and looks great on. I've styled it on holiday with a T shirt and also with boots and a jumper here for cooler weather. It's just such a versatile little skirt.
Another post planned in advance was this one featuring some cream wide leg jeans. Now I have to pick and choose exactly when to wear something like this as our British weather makes wearing lighter shades impossible sometimes - I'd definitely get them covered in dirt and have rain splashes over them. Have a look and let me know what you think of this Autumnal outfit, I think the stripey jumper works a treat. X
Leopard print and red - words I love to hear together, well not only hear but see together - don't they look like a match made in heaven? I styled these lightweight trousers with a thin leo print top that's quite fitted and has a bit of stretch to it. This mix is trending now and if you fancy having a go yourself I guarantee you'll feel great in it. Let me know if you're thinking of joining the trend.
A sneak peak at a holiday dress next. This wrap dress accompanied me to the little town of Savoca and I got a lovely compliment from the receptionist when I wore it on our last night. It's got a feminine vibe and looked super on - I like something that swishes & floats when I walk, and yet it's not heavy at all.
I paired it with my ever faithful mules, these come everywhere with me when I take a trip. They are easy on the feet and elegant on the eye. Do you have a pair of favourite shoes that you like to take away with you?
I thought I'd dip my toe in the burgundy trend and returned from my trip to Sicily with this little knitted jumper. I toyed with black or cream but opted for the trending berry shade knowing it would look super with this bold jacket I've had in my wardrobe for a fair few months. I bought it spur-of-the-moment and almost regretted it but seeping how nice it looks here I'm pleased I did!
My penultimate post featured my friends from the Style not Age group. This month we set about styling for the season with our looks around the prompt Autumn Hues and you can catch what we all wore here.
There's some fabulous looks all very similar shades, obviously, but I feel we've all brought our own personalities into the challenge - do let us know what you think. X
The final post at the end of October had me wearing this gorgeous full skirt that I found on Vinted. A line and fuller skirts are on trend right now and they look very flattering on most shapes. Although I was somewhat dubious before I bought this skirt I'm thrilled with how good it looks on, especially teamed with this corresponding jumper - don't the colours look great together?
Once again thank you for stopping by and giving me your time today, it's very much cherished.
See you again on Thursday for a brand new Linkup.
Bye bye for now. X
