Festive clothes from Roman.

Hi there.
How’s are you?

Another busy week for me resulting in no blog post or linkup on Thursday, apologies for that. I think we must all have that problem at this time of the year, something has to give doesn’t it! Will try to get back to normal soon. 🤞

Have you been out on any Christmas ‘do’s’ yet? I’ve been out once with David when we had a meal with friends in a local restaurant. We went with four friends and you can find out all about my night further on!

I’m also out on Saturday to see a show in London and the following day out to a venue on the coast that’s got a tribute singer that I’m excited to see and we’ll have some drinks and a meal there too. Quite excited to dress up and get into the festive spirit.

Today’s post features some elegant and fancy festive clothes that I’ll be putting to good use this next month or so and in the years to come as I always opt for classic styles rather than fashionable trends. Can you guess what I’ll be wearing next weekend? Answers at the bottom of this post!

You may well know my style already and as I mentioned above I tend to follow a classic vibe and occasionally dip into the trending items like adding a colour scheme that’s popular or buying a top with details like frills and ruffles if they are trending, but when I buy an item I like to have it stay with me for a long time rather than dismiss it after hardly any wear.

Scrolling through the Roman page online my eyes devoured all the fancy sparkles and feathery items and I knew I’d have to include lots of sequins into my outfits for the festive season - so settled upon these three stunners - topped off with a classic black double breasted trench coat!

This stunning jumpsuit (that I featured last week) caught my eye first. It’s a type of clothing I love to wear and find them really flattering especially if like these, they’re a wide leg palazzo style. As you can see it looks like it’s two separate pieces because the top is lacy with sequins over it and the bottoms are a heavy fabric that drapes really nicely. It’s got a matching tie belt that I tied in a bow but a fancy gold chain belt would look just as vibrant. Long sleeves are very helpful especially if , like me, you don’t really like your arms, it’s a hard fact of life to realise all the hard work and exercise classes don’t make that much difference, but if any of you have any answers please do let me know! This pretty stylish all-in-one fits true to size and feels a dream on. Currently it’s reduced to £40 & selling really well so grab yours quickly!

I’ve always had a love for faux leather and couldn’t resist these palazzo style trousers. They are the softest fabric that feels dreamy on and looks fantastic paired with just about anything. They’re now reduced to £30 and I know a few friends who’ve taken advantage of the discount and purchased a pair, they’re going to be ready for the big day now! I picked this striking formal cardigan that’s got a sparkling gold thread through it. It does up with fancy gold buttons and has cute little faux pockets on the front too. Sizing is, as usual, spot on for Roman, and I happily picked my normal size which fitted me perfectly. What a flattering finish this created and I felt right at home in it, this outfit would be just right for Christmas Day fun!

My final glittery look is my favourite piece, but unfortunately I’ve not had the chance to wear it yet, so it might be my choice next Sunday for the Bublé tribute act (I’ll share with you soon). It’s a grey sequined maxi dress that’s got a sultry split up the front and a nice cowl neck which looks super when you wear your hair up! It also leaves a nice opening for a fancy necklace too. Do you like the flattering shaping over the middle section of the dress. It’s ruched for the perfect coverage in that,  what can be described as worrying area! Head over via the link above to capture your own statement dress and I’m sure you’ll be elated to find it’s only £40. Roman are now offering 10% discount using the code GIFT !!

I wanted a strappy sandal to complete this outfit so popped my comfortable heels that have a sturdy ankle strap and cross over design on the front. I’ve them for a few years and bought them for my nieces wedding some years back. They are extremely comfy and I managed to dance the night away without any discomfort to my feet! I’ve found these that are the same sort of design and I’m sure the structure will be just as helpful my friends. X

Great to have you stop by and sorry again for the missed linkup! See you on Thursday - I promise I’ll be posting then.
Bye for now. X
