Good morning everyone.
Thanks for joining me today.
It’s the first linkup of 2025, I hope you’ll add all your wonderful outfits so we can all enjoy them.
I’ve been back to the gym this week and gosh how tired I feel after three classes and a swim! I reckon it’ll take me a couple of weeks to get back to my normal fitness.
It’s also good to get back into blogging and taking photos. The weather has been fairly reasonable recently so I took full advantage of having a bit of free time and with nicer temps I managed to get these super photos sharing my tan boots which I was kindly gifted a few weeks ago.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
This was the outfit I wore yesterday when the temperatures had dropped to low single figures and I really did notice the chill. I mainly sat indoors by the radiator until I had to pop out to the local supermarket for dinner ingredients.
I’d been planning how to style these boots for a while, I wanted to show the full details of these classic winter boots and figured skinny jeans (similar) would be the perfect option. I tend to wear wide leg jeans now but still haven’t taken the plunge and chucked away my straight leg skinnies. There’s a few pairs lurking in my wardrobe so, like these, might make an appearance in the future! What can I say, I like to have choices!!!
So let’s talk about these boots. Made from Imi-suede, they’re a stylish ankle boot that’s got a sturdy block heel making them extremely comfortable for everyday wear. They’ve got a flattering v cutout detail on the front which has decorative stud details on each edge. Tan is classed as a neutral and therefore goes with almost anything, as does black which is the other option. My sleek boots look right at home worn with my cream jeans, and I like the fact you can see all the fancy details popping out from beneath my trousers. Priced just under £60, which is so reasonable for such a stunning pair of boots. Check out Lucy ankle boot * on the Lotus website for all the details.
My cable knit jumper has been around for ages. I bought it years ago in TK Maxx (similar) and although it’s a bit rough around the edges, still works well for me. I’d layered this over a camisole vest top and another long sleeved tee shirt. I only needed the gilet (similar) on when I nipped to the shop and I wrapped my leopard print scarf (similar) around a couple of times to keep my neck warm. As I said before everything has been in my wardrobe for ages, which proves you don’t have to buy new to be ‘on trend’ eh!
