Light Wash Mom Jeans.

Good morning everyone.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Not much to report to you all, it’s been a slow weekend and I didn’t take any time out for photos and outfit planning. I am popping into town in the week and hope to have some new bits to show you. Have you been purchasing recently? I know there’s some sales on so I hope I’ll bring some bargains home and a few ideas for the new season. I’ve got a small list of things I really need, so as I’m trying to only buy what I need, I’ll have to see how that pans out.
The weather took a turn for the worse with rain and dreary clouds over the weekend which was a shame because last week looked so promising! I hope that’ll just be a fleeting visit as I’m really needing Spring and better weather to arrive.

Today how about an outfit that will fit in when the weather decides to stay a bit longer than the few days we had last week!

You know how I love wearing jeans, and whilst sorting through mine last week I spotted and decided to put on these mom jeans, which are a light wash style. I like the relaxed feel and reckon they make an interesting change from the wide leg versions I usually enjoying wearing. These have been around for a few years and came from River Island - these are similar from M&S.

They are a nice fit, finishing at the ankle and they give off a casual vibe that looks perfect with trainers like I’ve picked here. I’ve also worn them with sandals when the weather was warmer last summer, when a plain white tee completed my look.

Even though it’s been warmer I still wore a 3/4 sleeve top that’s more like a sweatshirt material. It’s very Parisian because of the stripes & looked super tucked into my jeans which I finished off with a pattern clash with my animal print belt. If you ever fancy pattern mixing I suggest you team similar coloured items together like I have here, it’s an easy way to start your pattern clashing journey, is this something you’ve tried already?

I love matching my stripy top with my stripy trainers. They bookend my plain jeans nicely, making everything stand out. I framed everything with a camel coat (similar), another item I found hanging in my wardrobe whilst looking for something else. Anyone else do that? This was a Christmas present a couple of years ago and having put a bit of weight on I’ve not been able to wear it. Fortunately I’ve been following the Keto diet and having nearly lost a stone can now wear it with ease! I like the neutral colour of this crombie style - so plan to wear it again and again! It finishes just below the knee and has pockets, button fastenings and revere collar. It’s a nice style to pop on over casual jeans and plain top and I love the finished look.
This gorgeous bag has been on repeat since I got it from Elie Beaumont. You can read all about this beautiful sling bag here.

Thank you for joining me today.
Lovely to have you here.
See you again on Thursday xx
Cheerio for now x
