Denim, Tan and Patterns - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Hello and welcome to my blog.
I hope you've had a nice few days, have you done anything exciting?

The weather here has been amazing we hit the high teens recently and I even decided to take my vest off! Yes you heard correctly! I did have to put a cardi on in the evening though but it’s a start isn’t it!

I took my granddaughter for her birthday treat on Tuesday. We went to a local salon that caters for children as well as adults and also has a training facility! Autumn enjoyed having her nails painted a bright red along with having a soothing hand massage. She also had a relaxing facial complete with face pack and moisturising massage which she loved. I took loads of photos to show her mum and dad and she sipped a homemade strawberry milkshake between treatments. After that we went to McDonald’s for a happy meal. She didn’t want to eat inside so we took the food away with us which she ate some of it in the car, taking the rest home and I’m sure her Dad might have finished off!! She wanted the roof off the car which I let her do! We took a slow drive along the seafront before finding somewhere to park. I know she had a brilliant time which reinforced my opinion of taking each of my older grandkids for one to ones instead of having a big present. It’s worked out well so far and I’m clocking up cinema trips, swimming dates and a musical in London to my list. I’m excited to see what two of the boys want in April!

My outfit today is what I wore yesterday. I was very much a Spring day and I went out in this casual ensemble and even dropped my jacket out because it was that warm!!

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

Jeans have and will always be a mainstay of my wardrobe. I’m really loving wide leg styles and these dark wash jeans are a new edition to my wardrobe and I want to wear them all the time! I picked them up in Tu Clothing for a the bargain price of £14! I decided to go for a longer length and although these are a bit longer than I would have liked, they look great with heels. I like to see pointed toe shoes or boots and popped my cream mock-croc style on yesterday as they have a comfortable block heel which is easy to run around in.

With the weather warm enough to venture out in without a coat I searched for a shirt that would not only look good with my dark jeans but compliment my tan bag as well.
The bag has been gifted to me by Elie Beaumont * and it’s a style I’ve had my eye on for a long time. You can imagine how thrilled I was to be offered this beauty, it’s a suede sling style, and you might agree it’s a cutie that will be a a wonderful addition to my collection throughout Spring and Summer - probably Autumn as well! Doesn’t it look amazing with the dark denim?  This has proved a really popular style and colour and is also available in three other colours - black, cream & slate grey. I’ve also got a unique code for 10% off, please use JQ10 at checkout.

Did you like my shirt? It’s from an unusual collection from Salamander Shirts, which is an online store that specialises in men’s and women’s shirts. Most of which are very much out of the ordinary, creative, artistic and feature unusual designs like wildlife, flowers, equine and traditional stripes or block colours. You might have seen me feature lots of their shirts before too. Pop Salamander in the search bar for more interesting designs.
This particular version is a collarless shirt that’s various blues, creams & yellow and has a pattern that’s a tile print design. It looks brilliant with my denim wide legs and also the bag works nicely too! Sizing is perfect and I usually wear a 42 which is roughly 12/14 and fits nicely. It feels super on as it’s a soft material that’s lovely on the skin.

I completed the outfit with a tan belt and the tan bag along with cream boots. I’m really pleased at how well this went together, don’t you think it’s a winning look?
